1586.   +The following 15 lots of stained glass windows were discovered beneath leaves and tarpaulins during the clearance of a house and grounds in Cheltenham last year. They have probably lain there for the best part of 50 years. It is understood the windows were salvaged from churches in the South Wales district shortly after the end of WWII - many buildings in that area were damaged by enemy action. The collection is offered for sale without reserve. The glass has been cleaned and each panel secured within temporary timber frames, which allows handling and transportation.
